NEW! Big & Little PJ Pant Sewing Class

Grab your partner and cut and sew!

Spend some quality time learning a new skill together.  You’ll both make a pair of PJ pants or shorts in fabric you pick out, made to fit you.
This beginner class will guide you through cutting the pattern, laying it out and cutting your fabric, sewing and finishing your PJs.  All equipment is provided in class, but materials are separate.

Class 1: Measure for size and cut pattern and fabric (1 ½ hr)
Class 2: Sew PJ pants/shorts (3 hr)

Intro to Quilting

An overview of types of quilts, how they created, and materials used.
Have you always admired quilts and wanted to make one for yourself or to gift?  This overview will get you started in planning your project and set you up for success.  This is an educational non-sewing class.

Serger Basics

Demystify that serger!  Learn some of the most useful stitches and when to use them, plus some tips and tricks to speed up your sewing.  At the end of class, you’ll have your own sample sheet with notes specific to your machine.  Thinking about getting a serger?  We have some at the studio you could use for this class.

Sewing for Beginners
Bring your own machine to learn on or use one of ours.
Learn to thread a machine, wind and insert a bobbin, and operate the machine to sew.
This a beginner class for those who want to begin to explore sewing arts. We will practice on paper and make a small project by end of the class.   Additional classes can be scheduled to meet your needs. Call 904-270-9349 for appointment.

Kids Classes:


Kids skirt

Young Ladies! Here’s the class you’ve been waiting for!
Make this adorable skirt in fabrics and colors you like!
You will be walked through all the steps from measuring, cutting, sewing and finishing using a regular sewing machine, serger, and iron.

Materials needed:

½ yard of cotton fabric (if student’s waist is larger than 23” around, you will need 1 yard)
¼ yard of matching solid
1 spool thread to match solid
Elastic for waist is provided

This class is designed for the beginner or intermediate, ages 9 and up.  Students should be comfortable using a hot iron.

 How to Hem Pants
You will learn three techniques to hem pants. Bring some with you!  We’ll show you how to measure, cut, pin, and sew to shorten pants to fit YOU.

Pattern Reading
Learn to decode those patterns!  We’ll start with the back of the envelope and sizing, then move into the pattern instructions and all those lines and marks on the pattern.
If you have a pattern at home, bring it for review.  Some patterns will be available for class instruction.
